Windows 2003 SP1 Issue
This article describes an compatibility issue between ORF Enterprise Edition 1.x versions and Microsoft® Windows 2003 Server Service Pack 1.
The issue described below does not affect ORF Enterprise Edition 2.0 or newer versions.

You may experience the following problems when running ORF Enterprise Edition 1.x on Windows 2003 Server
with Service Pack 1 installed:

| Due to the DCOM security changes made by Windows 2003 Server SP1, ORF components which require communication with the ORF Service cannot access to the ORF Service. | ||

No stand-alone fix tool is available. ORF Enterprise Edition 2.0 and newer are compatible with
the new DCOM security of Windows 2003 Server SP1. ORF 1.x users should follow the
instructions below.
To fix the problem, start dcomcnfg and select Component Services / Computers / My Computer / DCOM Config / {B4CAAE33-C360-4D86-A0E8-B9D8D35C3705}. Right-click on this item and select Properties. Select the Security tab and click Edit in the Launch and Activation Permissions group. Select the Everyone user group and set Allow for the Local Activation permission. Other permissions for the Everyone group must be set Deny.
